Teaching

I am currently the Subject Leader for Music at Biddulph High School (September 2022 -) and a Teacher of Music at Moorside High School (September 2023 -). I previously taught at Keele University as a Sessional Teacher (September 2021 - July 2023), Graduate Teaching Assistant (September 2018 - July 2021), and Instrumental Tutor (October 2020 - June 2021). I have also worked as an Instrumental Tutor at various schools, music schools, and on a private basis.

I have completed a School Direct PGCE with QTS through Coventry University (January - December 2023) and the following qualifications through Keele University: PhD in Music (September 2018 - March 2022, thesis here), Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (March 2021), MA Music (Distinction, September 2016 - September 2017), and BA (Hons) English and Music (First Class Honours, September 2013 - July 2016). I also hold a Grade 8 Distinction in Electric Guitar Playing (January 2013) through London College of Music Examinations.

I enjoy offering one-to-one guitar tuition for private students of all ages and abilities. If interested, please don't hesitate to reach out via the form on my 'CONTACT' page. I am confident that my extensive teaching portfolio - underpinned by research and performance - can meet the needs and requirements of any student.
